This policy is intended to ensure that everything is communicated in the most effective way possible. The policy is not intended to limit or hinder communication, rather to enhance it.
Normandy Church has four primary methods of communications. Below you will find a brief review of each method as well as specific policies for each method.
DEADLINE: All Communication Requests must be received in the church office by noon on Wednesday for that week’s communication method.
Friday Happenings & App
The Friday Happenings and App are “internal” communication methods for Normandy Church. They are intended for those that are already connected with Normandy in some manner or another.
• Communications will be publicized for either: 2 weeks, with at least 1 week off before it’s re-publicized or 3 weeks, with at least 2 weeks off before it’s re-publicized. Communications that are publicized for longer periods do not get read, and lead to other communication pieces not being read as well.
• All communications must be re-written to be re-publicized.
• No communication will be publicized for more than a total of 5 weeks.
Sunday Morning Verbal Announcements
Verbal announcements are intended for (and prioritized for) church wide communications, not a small select group within the congregation.
• No more than 4 verbal announcements will be made on any given Sunday.
• If more than 4 requests are made, the staff will determine which ones will be made.
Video Screen Announcements (pre/post worship, entrance area throughout the week)
• Information needs to be brief/concise and kept to 1 slide.
• Each announcement will run for no more than 3 consecutive weeks.

The Website is Normandy Church’s “external” communication method. Everything on the Website is intended for those that are not connected with Normandy. Community wide events and invitations are perfect for the Website.
